Son of Adam,

Whatever you earn

Beyond your upkeep

You are storing

For somebody else

For every human being there is an end, sweet or bitter.

People oppose

What they are ignorant about.

All containers are reduced in capacity

By what is placed in them,

Except a container of Knowledge

which expands.

Whoever seeks something gets it, or part of it.

Speak, and be known,

For a man is hidden

under his tongue.

Put aside your pride,

Set down your arrogance,

and remember your grave.

Ghaib ra abri wa abi digar ast.

Asman wa aftab-i-digar ast.

Nayad an illa ki bar pakan padid.

Barqiyan fi labs min khalkin jaded.

Musulman gar bi-danist ki but chist

Bi-danisti ki din dar butparasti’st.

Agar mushrik zi din agah gashti

Kuja dar din I khud gurmrah gashti.

Na did u dar but illa khalqi zahir:

Badan illat shud an dar Shara, Kafir.

Dar sauma’a wa ,madrassa wa deir wa kanisht-

Tarsinda zi dozakhand wa juya-khabar ast:

Ankas ki zi asrar-i-khuhda ba-khabar ast:

Z’in tukhm dar andarun-i-dil hich nakasht.
